Dog training club costs

Just wondering on price differences between clubs...I was sent a link to a dog training club today and their 6 week long adult dog class was £150 puppy (again 6 week course) £95 and a 6 week agility course was £150

The club I go to with Betty charges £35 for all 8 week courses: puppy through to gold/platinum,
(the puppy classes come with two 2kg bags of Burns, treatbags, toys, treats and guide notes)Not sure about agility, but Rally is £35 for 6 weeks

The 6 week puppy course we took Kiba to was £60 including free treats and notes.

The person we took him to before that was £3.50 per session but I wasn't impressed with his methods.

The places we've gone have had a range of prices.

The first place we went to (for Obedience) cost $109 for (£72) and went for 8 weeks.

The place we did our CGC training at cost $60 (£40) for 6 weeks.

The place we did our Agility for Fun training at cost $125 (£84).

And the current place we're going to costs about $60 (£40) for a 4 week course. This place is really awesome and I plan to keep going back there for awhile!

It seems to vary a lot-the ones we were looking into going to charged about £80 for 10 weeks for agility which is about twice as much as the last one we went to but the trainer let another dog go for Cherry there so wouldn't go back but can't afford the £80 charges.

I suppose some are run as a business and others are run by a club of like-minded dog owners/trainers who just do it as a hobby.

Blimey! I pay £3 a week for about 45 mins obedience training and with the same club I did pay £3 a week for 2 hours agility! With a different agility club I paid monthly and it worked out just under £2.50 for an hour.

Vito's class is a fiver per week and I think it's great, the 1st one we went to was £4 per week but it wasn't up to much at all.

I think I paid a grand total of £12 for a 6 week course of puppy classes which was with a very big club, who held an open show, and I also paid about £30 for a small puppy training class lasting 6 weeks in total beforehand.

My agility club is £20 for an hour's lesson one to one, or £55 for 6 group sessions with only 2 other dogs in it.

I took Ben to a dog training course in the local community centre, £3 a week, but it was really boring and new dogs started every week which meant we ended up covering the same things a lot!!
When Charlie came along I signed up for a APDT course which was £25 for 6wks and it was great, lots of advice and a limit of 10 pups a week which made a big difference.
I definitely would pay extra for a set course.
