I run 2 hard drives...1 with windows on, and 1 with all my programs and documents on.
This way, at least if one of them fails, you have the other one left, and you don't have to start from scratch.
As for my pics...I have them all online.
As for programs..well...yeah, they are all online too lol

[probably only of interest to people who know too much about computers ]

I take a snapshot of my server once a month stored at the DC, keep on server daily copies of user files and databases. And have 2 off server weekly backups of user files.

A long time ago I had some experience where the motherboard died and wiped out the main HD and the backup HD. That was painful.

Here I keep all my files and windows settings on my FreeBSD box (Samba PDC) That box is then incrementally backed up daily to my main PC with a full backup once a month. Every so often I will burn all my personal files to DVD too.

Some people don't MH. I've just got too much to lose if I don't keep track of things. The less you have the easier it is

Emm... If it makes you feel any better a few weeks ago I was asked by a certain Dogwebber to go and see what was wrong with their computer. They gave me a CD which was in a one of those cardboard sleeves and then had to tell me how to get the CD out of it
