I used to get very homesick
nothing helps really and hearing family can make it worse.
The only way to prevent it is to belong......


Maplecottage if you intend to stay, put all your heart into the place you are in and make it your own so that you belong .. then you will no longer be so homesick because that place will become your home

Once you get your GSD... you'll feel right at home in your 'home' You're also doing the right thing by changing stuff in your house (like demolishing the shed!) lol

What part of the UK are u in? What made you move here?

Sorry to hear you are feeling homesick Ingrid How long have you been in the UK and will you ever go back to New Zealand? My uncle emigrated to New Zealand before I was born and we haven't seen him since I don't get homesick much because I'm always home
