Vets with Ava / ear problems

Have just made an appointment at the Vets for Ava, her ears are just not clearing up at all, they just look bruised on the inner ear flap, also noticed that she now has a squashy area(not lump)like an envelope of liquid in her ear flap, probably caused by shaking her head
So appointment tomorrow FRIDAY 13th at 1030
Picture shows when this first occured, worse than this now!

Good luck at the vets Sweep. I've never seen that before so can't offer any help - does he know what it is then? Has she shaken her ears near a hard object, like a radiator or something and banged it? One of my dogs did that and ended up with the whole flap filled with fluid and the vet had to slit it open and I had to keep squeezing it every day to keep the fluid away, but as the days went on, I couldn't bear to do it to her as it was healing up and it hurt her,so she then ended up with a shrivelled up ear. I think they call that cauliflower ear don't they? Hope yours is nothing like that though. Good luck with her tomorrow.

Hi Sweep only just noticed this post, the sqishy bit may be a small haematoma (the layers of skin fill up with blood) you sometimes get them when dogs scratch their ears a lot.... if it is one and the vet may drain it . Good look on Friday..
