Odd email

I've just received the oddest email on my Yahoo addy

It was from 'co.uk' telling me I had a virus on my system and I was to download the attachement. My virus scan immediatley detected a virus on their attachement. The title was 'co.uk email disabling warning'

Could it have been a scam? Has anyone else had a similar email?

That how they get you to infect your own system just delete it off.

As Emma said don't open attchments unless you trust the sender even then it might not be safe as they might have done what you might have done and infected thier system

I get these all the time at my work sounds exactly the same scenario except it saying they are from BT and the heading is virus with a similar theme only I did try to open the attachment (thinking it was from BT) and it gave my PC a nasty virus not long after we had a warning from BT that these were happening.

Unfortunatley I still get at least two a week but the main thing is DONT OPEN the message or attachment just delete it.
