They've just carted Dave off to Hospital

... I think he may have had some kind of stroke, but not sure yet.

He woke up with a headache at 4 am. took the pills like he always does and went off to work at 7.00 am with this headache. I just got back from my bike ride, and in he walks with a member of his staff. His mouth seemed to have dropped one side, he was slurring his speach, and he had both hands held up in front of him with clenched fists and said he couldn't move his hands.

I put him straight on the bed and rang for an ambulance.
He was shaking profusely, although he said he felt hot. The ambulance guy arrived, his bp was 185 over 120, and then another ambulance arrived with 2 more paramedics. Within half an hour of them being here, his hands got better and although tingly, he said he could move them, but he was still shaking profusely, and when he stood up he was very dizzy, and when they told him to close his eyes he nearly fell over backwards!

Oh Lordy, what a shock, never seen him like this before. Anyway, they've carted him off and told me not to go down there for at least an hour, so I will. He had a lumbar puncture and a head scan for a serious headache about 6 months ago which they thought was a bleed, turned out to be nothing, so let's hope they blooming well sort it out this time around, coz this can't go on!

I nearly had a heart attack meself when two big strapping men were stood behind me as I was hoovering the bootroom when they brought him home I turned around coz I heard the door and couldn't see who it was with the bright sun shining through the open door, jeeeeze!

I knew things were going too smoothly!

I hope they get to the bottom of this Helena. You have been having such a hard time lately. At least Dave will be well looked after in hospital.

Oh my! I bet you are out of your mind with worry.

Positive thoughts winging their way to that man of yours. Hopefully, it's something simple that can be fixed easily.

Deep breaths Helena and remember to take a little 'you' time as well. You'll be no good to him if you get too tired and stressed out.
