My mum had her radiotherapy treatment, one dose on each leg and one dose on her head split into five smaller doses. She came through that on and was all set to meet at the end of the month to disscus starting chemotherapy on her lung.

However last tuesday she started saying she was tired, we expected tiredness as a side effect of the treatment, similar time frame as we were told as well. This continued so we spoke to the doctor and district nurses who have said this is likely the start of her entering the final stages of life.

She is still eating and drinking but needs to be fed as she is very tired and confussed. She is comfortable with very little pain at the moment.

Sorry to hear this mate. Hope you're coping as well as can be expected and whilst it's little consolation - it's good that your mum is at least 'comfortable' at this stage.
