Do not deprive your dog of water - especially if you feed dry food.

How long have you had the dog?

What time do you take him out for his last toilet break?

How long do you expect/want him to last between his last toilet break & when you let him out in the morning?

Is he trained to let you know when he need to go out?

Where does he sleep? Can you hear him if he signals his need to go out during the night?

How long does he go between wees during the day?

If you do not know his daytime urinary habits have you had him vet checked for urinary tract infection?

What is your reaction when you find he has urinated in the house overnight?

A bit more information will help us to make suggestions to help you

We do not deprive him off water, he is a rescue dog from the rspca and we have had him for about 1 week, we take him out bout 10pm and we go 2 bed about 10.30pm, we let him out about 6.30 in the moring, he sleeps in a bedroom on the floor on his bed and he give us a sign wen he wants 2 go out, he goes about 3-4 hrs a day 4 wees, we tell him off wen he wees at nite.

Hi Kath,
If you have only had him for a week, it could be that he has not settled into your house and routine yet.
Everything must be different and strange for him.
As long as his health is ok, I would just give him time, love and attention

Unless you catch him doing the wee, do not tell him off!
Just clean up the wee.
Telling him off after he has done it could make him scared/withdrawn, as he doesn't know what he is being told off for.

The best thing to do is lots of praise when he does a wee where you want, but ignore him when he does it in the wrong place.

Both Tetley and Dizzy went through this, they were both rescue dogs. Just give him some time, and follow the advice Hevver gave.
Bless him, he is scared and insecure, but with a little time and patience it will stop
