Bad night

I've had just had the worst night sleep in ages because of Jasper.

As most of u are aware we had to have our bitch pts on Friday and Jasper is not taking it so good. I have put new clean bedding into the basket, steam cleaned everything but now he's decided to bark and cry all night.

Do any of u have any ideas as to what we can do to help him as we are lost?

Thanx

Oh I'm sorry Staffy, it must be really hard for you.
And poor little Jasper, he must be really missing her.
Did they sleep together through the night, if so that's obviously why he's finding it hard the poor mite.
Is he aloud upstairs, if so maybe he could and sleep in your room for a while, but I don't no if that would help long term, maybe till he forgets.
Wish you luck with it all, and I'm sorry your suffering. :smt049

Mitch.

Well they did sleep in the kitchen together, Jasper was usually kicked out of the bed

Altho he's not normally allowed upstairs, we might let him sleep on the landing and see how that goes. It's so difficult trying to work out what's the best for him and us

Does he seem to miss her during the day as well, or just on a night.

Mitch.

Mitch it's all the time

He's layed at my feet now, he doesn't move from my side. Vet's suggested a training class so that we can learn new things and get him socialised with other dogs.

I've even suggested that we should get a playmate but hubby didn't fall for that one

Staffy, i am so sorry i didnt know!! I bet you are all heartbroken!!

When our second Rottie died, Phoenix was exactly the same, she only stopped when we got another dog (Ozzy), she hated not having another dog around.

Sending lots of hugs your way hun
