I've read the trilogy of books - thought they were brill

Hopefully going to see it this week - came out last friday I think

Evidently it's been edited quite heavily from the book to keep it to a 12 rating. I don't expect it to be as good as the book, I find the films rarely are However I thought it was a good story line and the characters were good too so fingers crossed they haven't gone too far away from the book

Read the books and saw the film on Sunday. It was fab! They have missed some detail out but spend quality time on setting the scene and developing the characters. The actual games are handled skilfully so as not to exploit what could have been a blood bath......if you love the book you won't be disappointed.I went with OH and three kids 16,15 and 12 and all thoroughly enjoyed it.Take your tissues though!

Loved the books and thought the film adaptation was brilliantly faithful Most of the violence is obscured by shaky camera angles, very little blood, it's not that scary. Woman in Black is far scarier, so I'm sure your daughter will be fine. Great film, go see it (me and my friend are going for a 2nd time next week )
