Thats the exact problem I have, and it's so infuriating!
Even when I warn them off they always say "it's ok, mines ok with other dogs"
Errr.....MINE ISN'T!!
grrrr!

Boxer
Pug
BostonTerrier
Bulldog
Peke
Griffon Bruxellois

They do muzzles for short nosed breeds - I own a Bullmastiff, and 2 muzzles that fit!
Baskerville do specific muzzles for shorter nosed dogs, that strap on slightly different to the 'normal' ones.
I've seen plenty of short nosed breeds with muzzles on - fitted correctly, so the dog can still breath/pant/drink!

The whole idea of dogs having to be muzzled in public all the time, or just muzzling in general?

I think the person who wrote the original idea, was stirring the pot, if not he is to stoopid to worry about.

About dogs and lions being compared as similar is ludicrous, I just hope the man does not own a dog. Humans have been known to bite other humans, should we be muzzled too??

The hypothetical idea of all dogs being muzzled when out is a ridiculous idea, and if it became law I would see dog owners grouping together and defying the law until it was changed.

Also, what about the gundog breeds and others that like to go after a ball or retrieval dummy in the local park? How is that going to work? The more I think about it, the more I'd like to meet the asshat that proposed this. I'd need a muzzle...

I am against them being muzled. BUT if it was LAW then I would have to abide and do it. I would do anything to protect my dogs against being taken from me and put into the already overcrowded rescues, and possibly being PTS.
