Good point!

We have "borrowed" our nephew plenty of times when going out with the dogs.

It was easier when he was tiny, as I'd just 'wear' him in a sling/carrier and proceed to do exactly what I'd do normally.

Pushchairs are great as the dogs will walk next to the chair, but it's not so easy now he's walking independently, and wants to hold the dogs leads etc!

I think it depends on the dog. Jake doesnt bother with noisey or crowded places, so I would take him. I think its a great experience and chance for socialisation for dogs. But would never let him offlead.

I wouldn't hesitate taking either of my two to an event like you have stated, but they most definately wouldn't be offlead.

I will quite happily walk ours through our local town centre just for the sake of it to get them round lots of people, and I never have a problem with it

I think it is good to take them to new places with new sights, sounds and scents

If either of mine got upset by it, I would still go, but I would stay on the outskirts where the dog would be more comfortable. (Obviously if they got distressed I would take them away - I'm not that mean hehe)
