Can anyone recommend a breed?

Hi I'm getting a puppy soon. Can anyone recommend a breed which is likely to get on with cats, less prone to separation anxiety and that needs a relatively small amount of exercise (I will of course be talking it for walks I would prefer shorter walks that long ones). I also have a back yard it can run around in.

I did look into greyhounds but have read a lot saying you shouldnt get one if you have cats. Im not too bothered about the size, small/medium would probably be best.

You can often find a Greyhound who lives happily with cats.
Mo wouldn't but there is someone on Dogsey who has both.

I think what would suit you is a greyhound I know someone who has 3 and they are all rescue/ex racers and live happily with her cats.

They do not need excessive excercise and short regular walks seem to suit them fine.

you do realise that your post could be viewed as:
'im looking for a dog i can leave at home all day because i work and that i can leave hanging around in the garden as i wont have enough time/energy to walk/exercise/train dog when i get home'

Yes I knew that exactly what people like you would think, but you have just jumped to conclusions and have no idea about my circumstances
