Crufts Protests - did you see them?

Well I needn't have worried, a group of around 20 people chanting 'shame on Crufts' over and over had very little impact on Takara at all, despite them being very close to one of the 'dog doors' we used!

Have to say, I was rather amused that whilst lots of security measures had been taken, it took about 4 police officers to ensure it didn't get out of hand and was a pretty poor turn out.

I doubt they made much of an impact either seeing as how there was no TV and everyone we saw coming in/out past them were having a good old laugh at them!

Thanks for the giggle anyway guys - I felt very proud as I walked my pedigree dalmatian out past you wearing my new 'Crufts' fleece jacket!

I think mishflynn said she heard some shouting around 3.30pm as they were getting ready to go, then something banged the door and something hit the window, but thats about it...

ETA: forgot to say, vinnie is in love with you and takara, you know how he has telly adiction {more so for the lloyds bank add} but when you and takara were on.... when takara barked it got vinnies attention, then he started to come when he heard your voice.... lol

Aw bless! Haha!

I'm afraid I doubt Takara would feel the same way (I certainly would!) as she's not so keen on rotties (she got backed into a corner by an over friendly boy and now gets very defensive!)

She did, however, meet quite a few yesterday in passing and even with me in the wheelchair she was fine with them! One day - I tell you!

If I could bear to part with her I would send Takara to live with you for a week Shona - kill or cure!!

Jackbox - if I had had more energy and not had T with me, I'd have liked to have gone up to talk to them but tbh, I think it would've been fruitless, I really don't think they would have a proper conversation with them.

I resisted the urge to sit facing them and ask Takara to 'wave'

Hehe, did I look stroppy? I've done Crufts in the wheelchair before, but not in a wheelchair with a dog Was rather stressful!

Of course T was fine, it was me that was stressed this time!!

Sorry you didn't get chance to say hello but hope you had a lovely time!

Shona, yes indeed - if you're ever passing do let me know! Unfortunately I can't afford the travel expenses of getting upto you but I'm hoping to meet up with people with polite rotties soon to help her!

This weekend has made me realise that T is capable of even more than I thought so I'm going to try and push myself to get her out and socialising more.
