Strange things...

Whats the weirdest thing you have found in either your house or garden that previous occupants have left you???

Mine stands at several (old) lounge carpets in the loft, poo brown paint under stair carpet, full packet of (very old) JPS ciggies also in loft and a cows skull in the garden while digging holes for fence posts.

ps.Never did discover the rest of the body though and given the nearby village has a history of witchcraft...

That's easy!

A riding crop in an otherwise empty attic Whatever did they get up to?????

(This is also the vendors who removed all the light bulbs - in November! - arrived at 4pm, straight to the shops for two dozen 60 watt!)

@ dina

we had the same moving into our house, 13 December 4.30 they took all the bulbs and also the rubber hose on the back of cooker apparently the other house they had moved to did'nt have one so they took ours

but they did leave us with what we thought was a fully boarded up loft, that could have been used as another room till we realised the "boarded loft" was in fact a cardboarded loft, they must have over the years got their hands on loads of cardboard boxes flattened them and laid them all over the roof space. we also found an old pair of Bloomers and a stack of newspapers from the 1920's or there abouts that fell apart as soon as we touched them

We found parts of cars and bikes burried in the back garden, also a carpet that had been there for so long, grass was growing through it. O'h and an engine for a motor bike

When we started to dig out a flower bed in the back garden, we found a child safety gate and a room size piece of carpet buried under the grass. The previous owners were also trying to GROW a greenhouse too, 'cos the soil was full of bits of glass (some of them had grown quite big too!)

I can beat you all!
An attic full of marijuana!
They kitted out the loft so they could grow it....removed supports so there was enough room to hang the plants up, and put the insulation from the floor, onto the roof, to keep more heat in! Hooks for the infra red lamps all over the wooden supports, and a 'work' bench!

We filled a few black bags of it dry when clearing it out!
Now all the plants are next door, as they 'took over'!
