Leopard Gecko (Lizard) feeding help.

Hi.
Do any of you have Leopards? My 6yr old male isnt eating much at all, he is in super condition, but is eating virtually nothing. Today as a last resort I gave him 2 wax worms, YUM! gone in a flash but he cant feed on those, too rich. I have tried black crickets, brown crickets, meal worms, hoppers and adult Locust, also pinky mice, not interested, perhaps one here or there. Any advice?
Dawn.

With the temperature changes it is very possible he is brumating. Mine used to eat very little through the winter months.

As long as is tail is nice and fat I wouldn't worry.

What kind of substrate are you using? If you are using sand, he could have ingested some and it can cause impaction.....

hiya - this is probably not much help but anyhow - we have lots of different types of geckos/lizards/ reptiles etc (college) and we have to feed them, clean them out, weight them etc

one of them a gecko has lost 8grams ina month - she dosent eat but i have been told this is due to shedding?????

apparantly they all go like that

we feed them crickets/waxworms and mealworms - covered in calcium powder

Yes, we pretty much have a reptile zoo, its sort of a hobby for us. I have a male and female leopard gecko. I just know that we used to keep ours on sand and then I started going to a reptile forum and seeing what can happen from using sand, so we switched right away. Has he started eating again?

Thanks both.

Yes he is eating well again. Gave him 2 Wax worms, that seems to have kick started him into wanting stuff again. I know they are high in fat and protein but it was suggested and it seems to have worked, and obviously it wont be a regular thing.

Sounds like you have your hands full Amber.
