You can teach him some tricks, if he is clicker trained you can sit in a chair and let him free-time and click when he does what you like, then you can shape that behaviour.

Sorry to hear about your accident. Everyone has posted some great ideas and I have defintiely found mental stimulation helps and wears them out a treat.
Failing that, perhaps you could employ a dog walker a couple of times a week?
Just a thought.

Thanks for the support and great ideas everyone.

Well we started the day with breakfast with a difference, stuffed into kongs around the house hehe he had great fun finding those!

Then i did some training with him and for the past hour and a half he's been fetching his ball to me, well balls...football, tennis ball, very hard bouncy rubber ball that he's not allowed in the house finally worn the little guy out! He's spark out on his bed now

I think I've worn him out too much he is laying in front of the door and he wont move haha I can't even open the door
