Willow - Border Collie

Willow is a beautiful 18 month old Black & White lass who has come to Wiccaweys from Ireland. She has come over with her two children, Ash & Rowen.
Willow's farmer owner didn't really want her, so he let her roam. She had a liason with another farm collie and she had babies. The farmer didn't want them and couldn't be bothered with them, so he kept them all shut up in a stable. When the pups reached about 5 months he decided he'd had enough and was going to shoot them all. Luckily one of our Irish rescuer workers heard about this and stepped in at the last minute to save Willow's family.

Willow is a very beautiful girl. For obvious reasons she is shy and reticent when she first meets strange people. She loves Sarah and will follow her at her side. She has been an excellent mum to Rowen and Ash, and still looks out for them. She has even taken little Ace under her wing.

Willow will need a home that will give her time to blossom into the sweet young lady she is.

If you feel you can offer Willow the home she deserves, please telephone us on: 07905 203254 (please note we only accept enquiries for dogs by telephone - we like to have a chat with you!)

Willow is doing excellently, she now comes out of her bed to investigate what is going on and what we are up to.

Still making brilliant progress, she is turning into a proper little collie dog and getting up to all sorts.

Willow has gone out on foster to Cambridge with a lovely family and 5 other dogs. Her latest report says she loves the house and garden, is sleeping on the bed and her favourite activity is racing up and down the stairs in true collie fashion.

Willows foster family would like to adopt her. They are coming back to see us again on Sat to sit down and discuss whether it is the best thing for her. I suspect she has found a new home for herself.
