Do you remember the pup we hand reared?

Little Rudy also known as Bruce (don't ask ) was rehomed by BDH to the ideal home.
Well apparently it wasn't ideal at all and he's back at BDH having bit his owner some 15 times. They're currently assessing him. His owner has handed him back as she admits she's spoilt him, he doesn't know any commands at all and he's now 9 months. She can't cope, she's had loads of dogs previously but never a tiddler. So has been completely besotted with him but let him rule the roost. They were talking about possible pts which I couldn't believe but he's so far shown no signs of wanting to bite anyone else. I've said I'll take him back no matter what as I don't believe for a minute he can't be sorted out but they insist on keeping him to evaluate what happens next. I suspect they'll come up with another home.
All that hard work and someone unravels it all and basically ruins him, I could throttle her.
He's mega cute now and looks like a chi I'll post a pic later when I can figure how to get it off Charlie's phone.

OMG that is heartbreaking for you, I know the feeling well of wanting to do people serious injury when they have managed to create a monster, then claim they 'can do nothing with them' yes thats because they have done nothing with them apart from ruin them!!!
I think the best thing would be for you to have him back as well, as he knows his place and that there's no messing.
Like you say, so much for the 'Ideal Home'

I know it doesn't exactly fill you with confidence does it? I don't think they will give him back, they seem to have strange priorities. He was a great little fella when he left here, very outgoing and cheeky. Charlie obviously needs to tread carefully as she works there.

You are actually the best person to sort him out, and also to vet prospective homes if they used their brains of course, which they won't
I've been there myself and taken dogs back that people can't handle, to find they have never had a moment's training work on them since they left me, left to do their own thing, they have done exactly that, no boundaries exist, so they carry on looking for a boundary.
Hoping things turn out well for him, like you say Charlie will have to tread carefully, because I bet she is dying to say her four penn'orth

Well I dunno what to say they've put him in kennels at the windsor site, so she'll get no say in what happens to him. They think a spell in kennels will do him good

He has done absolutely nothing wrong - he has been allowed to rule the roost by his stupid owner - SHE should be put in a kennel, not the little guy. He will interpret this as a punishment, but he will not know why. He will think that he has been cast out of the pack, and will doubtless end up biting someone and the kennels will then declare him to be a DD and that he should be euthanised.

Is there any way you can force/persuade/ bribe them into letting you rescue him before it's too late?

We're trying, I've offered to take him back even if only to educate him but they have their own behaviourist who chose his previous home so they ain't listening.

I donate monthly to BDH - might change to another dog charity if this is the way they behave

Could a third party apply to adopt this type of dog - is he a pug BTW? - stating that they want to rescue something that has "behavioural issues" - that they have no children, are very experienced in this field, etc. etc.?
