Meet Casey Our New Puppy!

Hi everyone, I'd like to introduce Casey the 9 week old CKC!

Despite having rescued two dogs over the last a couple of years now and dealing with various issues, I can't believe how different it is introducing a puppy into the pack! We're frantically reading everything we can - getting a bit confused to be honest! We can't seem to find much info about introducing a new pup into a multi dog household and how it differs from taking on just a pup. So expect lots of questions! Any advice greatly appreciated!

Anyway, enough talk, here are the pics

She is lovely, she looks so tiny, it's amazing how quick they grow.

My puppy is 12 weeks now and has grown so much in just a few weeks. I had no problems introducing my puppy to my older dogs. My gsd loves him to bits but my old Labrador gets a bit grumpy when benji hangs off his tai but has given him a few warning growls and benji seems to have learnt now.

Thank you

Out of interest, what have you done at night, is he with your other dogs or on his own?

She's lovely.

My pup just got put in the house with the other dogs and sniffed and ignored for a couple of days, then in the past week the older dogs have started to play with her and help her grow. They are helping with the housetraining too. And the pup is with us and the other dogs at night, she is clean through the night and wakes us up when she needs to go.

She will be separated from them when they go out on walks and 1:1 training and also various other times. Especially when I go out as she has proved she is pure evil and does flying leaps at Louie's ears with razor sharp teeth, plus she's little and my older ones could do some damage.

My other two dogs sleep upstairs in my bedroom but benji has a large cage in the kitchen where he sleeps. I wouldn't want him upstairs until he is toilet trained as it's all carpeted. He likes his cage as he has a comfy bed and I feed him there too.
