I'm so sorry to hear about your Mum. It will take a while for you to recover and you must let the grief come out whatever way it wants to. Eventually it will get easier and you can be sure she's around watching you and proud of you for everything you did for her towards the end.

I've thought about you a lot because of losing my own mum in such similar circumstances - I hope you won't mind if I post here a little poem we had read out at her non religious funeral ceremony - which was a celebration of her life.

The origin is unknown - it was thought to have been written for a magazine or condolence card rather than by an established poet. It was chosen by the Queen for the Queen Mother's funeral.

Remember your dear mum as she was in life you know she would not want you to be sad. And take care of yourself now.
