Broke/split nail on left foot .

Well just had a panic had to rush Sal to the vets, between 5.45 and 6.10 she "broke/split" the nail on her back left foot she couldn't put her foot to the floor panic ensued (mine) then I got mysef under control and phoned vets for an appointment for 6.30pm; the vet looked at the nail then removed the "shell" black sheath part of the nail, apparently she was lucky as it hadn't gone down to the quick or nail bed, and thats all it took the vets fingers and off it came, no painkiller nothing I held Sal's head and the vet held her foot and off it came she can put her foot to the floor happiness.

She has a sort of stub there and its white rather than coated with the black sheath.

I also discovered that on Sal's vets "card/computer record thingy" are the words, "The nicest Staff in the practice, very very gentle." I am so proud, its been there since she was about 1 apparently.

So all's well that ends well.

Karen

ohh - they do like to worry us dont they - its so funny cos they dont really make out they are in too much pain by screaming or anything ( thats usually us doing that worrying for them !!LOL )

What nice things to put on her card - i think on Bruno's it probably says - stay away from rear end as likes to fart and also please check reception area for dogs before releasing from vet room !!LOL

Yikes Karen!!!

I'm glad Sal's okay now..

Oh you should be proud.. Of yourself.. It all comes back to you.. You are the one who trained her and helped her grow up to be the vet's "nicest staff" Remember that
