Never had it done, but a common test for carpal tunnel syndrome.

I think it stands for electromyography.

I had it done a while back due to loss of feeling in my fingers and arms, it certainly doesn't hurt, just a funny feeling really but not in a bad way. Although they didn't find anything wrong I am still having the problems.

When mine was done, the specialist asked if I wanted the technical medical terminology for the results on my arm or the laymans terms.

I asked for the laymans terms.

He said ...

I'm due to have it done in the New Year too, also for carpal tunnel syndrome. Don't have a date yet though but I've been told that I may need surgery as well.

I had this done on both hands & my elbow & had to wear gloves & even then had to warm my hands up in warm water(I always have cold hands )

It doesn't hurt much as such, but it made me jump The elbow was quite painful, but it was worth it to get rid of the awful pain in both my arms & hands & to have the fingers affected by the trapped nerve in my elbow straight again.

It was fun having the right wrist decompressed under a local only, mean surgeon wouldn't let me watch though.
