Scab!

When I got my puppy he had a little scab under his armpit, the vet checked it and said it was probably just a scab from play fighting with his siblings.

4 weeks later and it's still there, the top has come off a couple of times and it's been goey underneath so I think he might have a bit of bacteria in there.

What on earth can I use to clear the scab?

I figure picking the top off (it doesn't bleed, very similar to mud fever in horses) and applying something but assume I need something puppy friendly as he's liable to eat it!

Please advise!
