milk

im not sure is my abbie has enough milk, the pups are 4 days old and have all put on weight, but today they seam to be crying alot, i can get a drop of milk out if i sqeeze her teats but thats it a drop, this is my first litter

just keep the pups on feeding they will bring more milk down .once you suppliment you can never go back
if the pups are gaining weight all is well , sounds like the pups are just having a grizzley day ......do you have headpads on ?

When she's feeding eight hungry puppies they are probably draining her a bit at the moment, make sure that she is drinking plenty. If my girls don,t seem to be drinking lots of water the first few days, i give Lactol or whelpi to drink in between their meals, they love it and it is very good for them as well, her milk supply should increase to demand from the pups

You wouldn't think my Jasmine had any milk at all either, she looks completely flat and I can't express any either, but obviously the pups are drawing it down. They are two weeks old tomorrow and all around the 2lb mark.

Make sure you feed mum well and often, that also helps with milk production.

agree fed mum the best and it will be ok ........she will love the extra meat
