What do you think of your crate?

Hi everyone! I am currently working on a project for designing on dog crate and I need some help figuring out what dog crate consumers think about current options, and what they want from a crate. I have a short survey that I will paste into this message, if you could help me out I would more than appreciate it! Thanks!

I have 2 dogs but will use my border collie for this as she is the only one that uses a crate

-What breed, age, and weight is your dog? BC, 8months, 18kg
-How sensitive is your dog to noise?

Your questions make me think that you are asking questions about dogs that are crated for behavioural reasons...the only reason my dog is crated is due to her potential to be destructive as she is young.

There are lots of crates on the market and i fail to see how anything 'new' could be developed.

Haven't time to answer it all sorry---it would be useful to me to have a removable solid top as I find other dogs on top of one of mine.

Some of the trays are difficult to get out. Easy catches would be good as well, as soon as the crates are used a bit they seem to get twisted.

the gate opening and the door opening coz he knows someone is coming home so gets excited.

just a few barks with a frantically wagging tail.

Dont know the size sorry, but its big enough for jake who is 22in high (at last measurement) and has room for him to get a bit bigger. its got a plastic tray with wire sides and top.

-What function does the crate serve for you?

keeps him safe while i am out, and a place for him to go if he wants (its always left open when we are home)

-Do you leave the crate out and set up?

Yes

-Where do you keep the crate in your home?

Bedroom

-Does the crate disassemble? Does it fold flat?

Yes and yes

Hardly ever (will be getting disassembled more when he is old enough to be trusted alone out of it)
