We have got a Sebo 4 extra. Its really good, you can go from carpets to hard floors without having to alter anything, plus it picks up doggy hairs really well. You can also get an extra large stair brush attachment.

For those with the dc04 the 'animal' is even better. We had the dc04 which was good but it seemed to be petering out after the amount of use it has received since having our two dogs, but then it was quite old as it was my mums before and was about 10yrs old...lol...

Anyway I was well impressed with the 'animal' it sucked up the fur in an instant where with the old vac I would have to go over the same spot for a few minuets to get it all. Like someone else said if it aint nailed down it will be sucked up...lol

Will it deal with Elkhounds too - no wonder they all dive for the back yard when the Dyson appears from the cupboard. Thought it was because I shooed them away as puppies but perhaps they have read the reports :smt043
