The long and costly process of rennovating.......

I'm excited - my house is nearly finished finally getting all the wooden flooring put through the downstairs next month

Thought I'd share some pics of then and now, if you want to see the process .......I shall start with when we first bought it:

Down a sad abandoned wee lane

What the house was like (and crazy overgrown garden)

Woohoo we have windows

Roof and brickwork getting fixed

Garden from the roof

Garden all cleared

And now it has a pond

Some of the derelict outbuildings

One of the outbuildings getting built

Start of the extension

Living Room:

As it was

Ready to be plastered

New fireplace:

Hallway:

Interesting wallpaper

Main bathroom:

Dining Room:

Ready to be plastered

Main bedroom:

Plastering

Ready for furniture

Ensuite as it was (this was another bedroom originally)

Ensuite getting put together

Nearly done

Upstairs hall

Bedroom 2

Bedroom 3

Kitchen being put together

Sad field with nothing in it

Will add some more recent pics of what things are like now in a bit

Wow, it looks absolutely fantastic! coming on a real treat.

I am guessing you don't live there as building work is going on? what are your plans for the field(s)?

Super jealous of all the land.

It looks AMAZING!! I love it!!

I'd absolutely love to have something like that to get my teeth into, but then I think it would drive me insane as well!
