Have only had to make that decision once and it was SO difficult-we put it off form our own selfish reasons and I regret that so much.

Enjoy your time with your lovely boy .He certainly knows how much you love him.

We are all here for you.
Take care
Sending you and Georgie a big hug
Maureen

Lots of thoughts towards you H, he's always been my favourite boy...I know how much you'll miss him It's the most honourable way to go out, with a smile on his face.

Thanks everyone, each and everyone of you.xxx

Just tucked him up for the night, he's soooooo comfy out there with all his layers, that'll be a kingsize quilted bedspread folded into 6, then a double duvet folded in half, then two blankets, and NO, that boy has never been spoiled, but he sure is comfy, as I laid him on his side and hugged him tightly and sent him off to sleep.

I will be ringing the vet first thing tomorrow, my mind is now made up good and proper, there'll be no turning back, he won't bounce back this time I'm afraid, coz he has told me he's too tired to carry on now, the sparkle is slowly fading, and I don't want it to fade altogether before I send him on his way, that wouldn't be fair.

I know, that you all know, just how painful this is, and no matter how many times we find ourselves in this awful place, it never gets any easier does it, but I made a promise when I took this chap on 8 years ago, that I would be there right up to the end for him, and I will, no matter how hard it will be, I have to do this for him, as you have all done for your beloved furries in the past along with myself of course.

I'm going to buy him a big slice of rump steak tomorrow, chicken's not good enough, and he can eat it raw, coz he loves raw, and then he can have a bowl of chicken livers to wash it all down, just coz he's worth it! Love this old boy so very much, it's breaking my heart already, and Zena's cottoned on, she knows something's up with him, she's fretting everytime he moves from one room to another, from one bed to the other, oh yes, it's definitely the right time to say goodbye.xxxxx

No it never gets any easier and you're the one left with the pain but it's the right thing to do. If we didn't love them so much it wouldn't hurt quite so bad. Will be thinking of you all.
