What dog activities interest/do not interest you?

There are loads of doggy activities that I would like to participate in. Unfortunately Cain is not suitable to participate in most of them as many are social events, however we are having a crack at agility and I hope to try some with future dogs.

Activities that interest me
Agility My personal fav. Love it, wish Cain could go off lead.
Fly ball. Never had a dog that wanted to do it but hope to have a go with my future gundog (prob toller)
Tracking. Again haven't tried yet but would like to.
Gundog/Working trials. Bit worried about "old school" handlers but would definitely try this with my future gundog.
Dog scootering. I'd love to give this a go but Cain wouldn't like it.
Cycling. Again, maybe with a different dog. Cain loses interest after 10 mins!
Heelwork to music. Great fun
Swimming. Ok, I don't swim with him but I would if we had a pool, but I have taken him for hydrotheraphy just for fun

Activities that I might try
Obedience. I enjoy training basic obedience but find it a little dull competitively. However if the dog really enjoyed it then I would do it more often
Schultzhund. I'm not terribly keen on teaching a dog to bite or to jump 6" high fences, although I realise it should only be done on command. I don't know much about it and probably have preconceived ideas, but I would give it a go.Although perhaps I'm not serious enough to be accepted by a club
Husky racing. I'll never own a husky but I'd love to give it a go.
CaniX. I'm not much of a jogger and Cain is lazy, but if I were fitter and had a more active dog then maybe.
Sheepdog herding - dunno, maybe, if i have a collie who needed the outlet.

Activities I have no interest in
Dog showing. I have no interest in ringcraft. I have no problem with others doing it, but I'd rather be getting muddy and having fun than jogging around a ring and grooming

I'm sure I've missed some. So I think showing is probably the only activity i can think of that I don't want to try.

What about you?

Agility and gundog stuff. Maybe Schutzhund with a future GSD. No interest whatsover in showing.

I go jogging with the dogs but just to keep fit.

Would cycle if i had a bike!

I also would like to try Schutzhund or working trials..
The idea of scent work with a purpose also appeals ...

I am interested in many things and have had a bash at most:

HWTM (only once, routine to Barnum and Bailey dressed as Clown)
Agility (cannot stand the noise and I am spatially challenged but had quite a lot of success in the top ten in starters for one season)
Gundog Work (obtained a Working Gundog Certificate with one dog and done some picking up)
Showing (very sparingly, won at Championship Shows inc Crufts)
Obedience (but not quite exciting enough for me)
Cycling (do it regularly)
Swimming (do it regularly)
Blood Tracking (anything with nosework interests me)
PAT dog (dog now retired but I am a temperament assessor)
KCGCDS (done all the levels and am a KC Approved Examiner to Gold)

Things I have absolutely NO interest in at all:

Cani-X (I do not do running, that is what dogs are for)
Flyball (noise would do my head in and I do not think it is suitable for all breeds)
Rally (a bit too pedestrian for me)
Scootering (why?)
Dock Dogs (hmmmmmm)

Things I might try if I had the time/dog/opportunity

Mondioring
KNPV
Sheepdog working
Husky Racing (preferably a la Ben Hur or Gladiator)

Things I am mildly obsessed with:

Working Trials
Schutzhund

Ever since i saw dock dogs at the all about dogs roadshow i have been hooked. It's just a shame that we don't have many more dock dogs events or training in the UK just yet.

I will have to settle with the lakes and a good old tennis ball

I also find husky sledding appealing, often i oogle at the really "Wow" looking sled dog excursions in northern Europe, until i see the huge price tag which is associated with such excursions. Maybe one day... For the mean time, i will have to stick with stalking the huskies and their owners at the rendlesham rallies which get held in the forests near me. It's just great to see the dogs enjoying working

I also find gun-dog training fun, it's something i would love to get back into.

I did try agility for a while, but then began to focus my spare time more on obediance work.

i do a bit of terrier racing at country shows
did it with cheech last year and he did very well but when we moved into town this year he lost racing condition so dident bother racing him other than once at a little fair,
i hope to get them both in good fit race condition ready for the races next summer, want to get them both racing on the flats but might get cheech doing hurdles as well,
gunna keep them in condition after that and work them through the winter.

Don't like blood sports or protection stuff so those would be out for me. I find showing boring so that wouldn't interest me either, but I'm not against it for those who do enjoy it.

Love agility, HTM, the usual pet dog training and anything that is fun.

I have done obedience and currently do showing, heelwork to music and agility.

The one thing I have tried with my previous dog; a Cairn terrier and Parker my male Kerry Blue terrier is terrier racing. I would not want to do this again as on both occasions my terriers took one look at all those snarling, barking small terriers and ran in the opposite direction! Very embarassing but amused the onlookers. Parker also nearly got stuck being put into the "trap" -as that bloke "Terrierman" from the dog magazine would agree-he is really rather large to be called a terrier.
