My first two homes were flats and there wasn't enough room for a dining area so when i moved into my house i promised myself a dining table.
I now have a big kitchen/diner so i got a large pine 6 seater table & chairs with drawer underneath for the placemats/table runner.
We use it all the time, whether it be for brekkie, dinner or just sitting around having a chat and a cup of tea.Its the one room that is the hub of the house,we spend more time in there than anywhere else

Same here Vicki. No room in our house for one without building an extension

Awww now Pat you know how much I wanted a dining table and how big mine is

I love it, my £77 ebay bargain, 8 seat dining table and very comfy chairs. I have granite topped table with chairs in the kitchen but we don't really every eat in there.

Here's my table, which I have thanks to Pat and Paul......ignore the leather laz-y-boy in the corner, that is now gone hoorah!

We have a 6 seater extendable table in Birch, italian hand made no less...

We don't always eat round it during the week, but at least once on weekends, and I use it for doing paperwork and stuff on.

However, I wouldn't be without it!

I have a table in the living room which tends to get used when the grandkids come and at Christmas.

I'm not a 'sit at the table' fan, but do like having it around at Christmas.

I think my mother's insistence on set meal times and sitting at the table until everyone had finished turned me into a bit of a rebel where tables are concerned

I just have a 4 seater pine table. I insist that we all sit down for our meals together.

We have one - usually hubby's dumped a pile of junk on it so it doesn't get used - constant battle to keep excavating it.
