Meet Apollo



Apollo is a 2-year-old Doberman who is looking for a new home due to his previous owner’s partner abusing him.

Apollo is a timid soul who is toilet-trained, well-behaved, can be left alone without problems, knows all the usual commands and is responsive. Once he knows you, he bonds quickly and strongly and is totally trustworthy, but understandably he can be shy and nervous around strangers, especially men. He needs to wear a muzzle and be kept on a long-line whilst going for his hour long off-lead walks in the park everyday. He gets on very well with other dogs, gentle around small dogs and enjoys a good rough and tumble with dogs of his own size.

Apollo is very affectionate towards people he knows and loves to sit on your lap! He also loves ear massages, having his back scratched and being stroked all over. His favourite game is playing Frisbee in the garden. His favourite treats are cow hoofs and pigs ears, he’s also partial to tuna pasta.

Apollo is looking for an all adult home without visiting children. Someone who has owned guarding breeds, preferably nervous ones, before, who will take the time to build his confidence and socialise him around strangers. He would happily live someone who worked fulltime providing they put provisions in place and wouldn’t leave him home-alone for long stretches at a time. In the right home he will make a wonderful, loyal and affectionate companion.

Apollo is looking for a perfect new home, a home where he will be loved and cherished for the rest of his life.
