..He was on the radio yesterday poor chap. The money was being put on one side for house repairs, age concern left some bags to fill with old clothes so he did just that and filled them. He realised very quickly his mistake in sending the old sweater containing the money (the sort of idiot thing I would do) and got in touch with the shop who said they had not found anything. An anonimous person (working in the shop?) told him the money had been found and banked A spokesperson for age concern was on the radio too and I was not inpressed by their attitude Shan't support them again in a hurry

Keeping that money won't do age concern any favours, people will imagine being in that mans shoes and it isn't as if age concern are loosing out cause it wasn't there's in the first place.

I heard this on the news earlier

They have agreed to give him his money back as it was a genuine mistake
What I want to know is apparently the money was in his wallet....was there no other id in there?, as part of the stipulation of getting his money back was that he had to prove who he said he was

.I think the money was in an old wallet ...I would not have though he needed to prove the money was his..only he the owner could have known the money was there in the first place ..and how many instances of finding that amount of money occur in that branch? Yesterday on the radio AC were trying to wriggle out of paying it back
