Daily Thread Friday 16th April 2021

Morning all.
Another 5.30 start for me, poor Kota is in so much pain......can start the steroids tomorrow so I am hoping they will do the trick. Looked the lady up who we visited before....a mctimoney chiropractor so when her neck settles down a bit might get in touch, trouble is she also is in Birmingham!
Had a slight scare last night with rumours of a shooting on the bus route Steve was on....he was o.k....phew, can't be doing with anymore drama at the moment

Good morning Kelly and all who follow

Poor Kota hope the steroids do relieve her pain. Pleased Steve was not involved in the incident.

Lovely morning here. Teazle walked, runner beans put into pots, so hopefully they will all sprout, fertiliser hoed in round strawberries and raspberries and housework done. Coffee now. Have second vaccination this afternoon.

Hope all are well. Stay safe.

Morning griff, Sue and all to follow.

griff sorry to hear Kota is in so much pain. Hoping the steroids work when you can start them tomorrow.
Phew Steve wan't on caught up in the incident last night.
Sue a busy start to your morning. Enjoy your rest.
Our 2nd jab is in May.

We are hoping to get out for a little while later today and if warm enough and not raining get a coffee outside if the garden centre cafes are open.

Stay safe everyone.

Good afternoon

Hope you got and enjoyed a coffee at the garden centre Lynn

Thanks Kelly. Jab done never felt a thing and so far my arm doesn't hurt. Good that you are not feeling too bad this time.

Glad 2nd jabs have gone well so far, long may it continue.

We decided not to get a coffee , understandably outside seating only and it had started off nice when we walked Dillon then it got cloudy and by the time we left here and got to the garden centre it was chilly to.
Having a cuppa at home instead.

Pleased it was a pain free process Sue
Lynn, don't blame you for not sitting outside, everywhere up the town was absolutely packed today...the queue for Primark was quite ridiculous..... again!
Got my new phone charger...phew! Solved the problem so don't need to find the money for a new phone. Had a letter from the insurance, they have settled with the willows...I wasn't given an invoice when I first attended and when I called to check how much the claim was for I was told £1200 and something, the claim has gone in for £1900 and something which has been settled.....I will have to request a print out of my first bill and see where the difference is coming from

Glad you found the charger griff.
Do you think the steroids have been added ? Or was this bill before ?

The garden centres weren't to crowded they were probably all in Primark.
We treated ourselves to a Chinese to, think we deserve it after the week we've had.

We had a nice bunch of flowers from next door not the one who had his roof done the other side. With a thank you card for being nice neighbours and taking their parcels in.
I had some flowers sent to Wendy and Krisha last week after mentioning Krisha and her parking and her and Wendy are suffering ith depression lots going on in their house at the moment.
I thought they might cheer them up
It was lovely to receive the card and flowers but I would much rather be a nice neighbour than a horrible one, having had my life made a misery for a few years by horrible horrible neighbours, I would rather ignore people if I didn't agree with them than be a nasty person.

Lynn, agreed...I don't speak to the woman next door....I don't want to be horrible to her so just avoid her.
The bill was before the consultation and steroids yesterday...I paid that myself and the bill she gave me was for £2200.....she deducted the existing bill and I paid what she said

Nightmare day.

Ordered a sofa (I'm a glutton for punishment) for Gary last night and the same problem has arisen about them not taking it up to his flat. I've been on live chat with them for over three hours to get the delivery address changed to my house (then get a man with a van to take it) and they wouldn't do it. So, action stations and man with a van has said he'll take it up to the flat when he picks up the old sofa.

I wasn't going to order it yet but they've reduced it to £275 which is a genuine half price so couldn't really pass it up.

It's being delivered on Monday and to say I'm dreading it is an understatement. I just hope it all goes OK and I can forget blasted sofas for a while

On the plus side today, we went to the cafe for breakfast. The tables were well spaced out so felt very safe. I did use disinfectant wipes on the tables and chairs and plenty of hand sanitizer. Despite that, it was nice to have a little bit of 'normal' back
