I think I would sit on a bench in the town and wait until the 'said' dog settles
One of my dogs goes loopy/crazy/mad when he sees my neighbour walking her 6 weeny dogs. He lurches at them growling and snapping and then snaps at my other dog if he's nearer enough. Drives me mad!! Anyway, the other day my neighbour stopped to chat and amazingly after a few minutes all of the dogs settled down and there was harmony Time will tell what happens next we see them all walking past.

I played the LAT game with Louie in town last week - it's the 3rd time I've took him to town and after the 1st and 2nd time I didn't want too - but we had a friend to see so we did.

He soon settled after a while with them.

If it was me I think I would just sit on a bench till the dog calms down, a lot of "look at me" and treats , as I really wouldn't want it happening every time I went there.

I'd probably walk away a bit, let the dog calm down briefly, then return. If it kicked off again, walk again again. Repeat until the dog approaches calmly, then sit there a bit and reward the dog for calm behaviour

Nothing if I had more than one dog with me, but I'd return with just the one and gradually work on it. Like traffic chasing.
