Would've been Alfie's 5th B'day today

It is (or would have been) Alfie's 5th birthday today
I took myself off on my own down by the stream this morning and walked our fields and had a little chat with him (must've looked a bit stupid dogless but i don't care) I've been really good lately and haven't cried so much the last couple of weeks but its set me off now
I also recieved an email yesterday (what timing ) from Alfies son Harvey's owners with some beautiful pictures of him so that was lovely albeit a bit bittersweet for me.I'm so pleased they keep in touch though.
I miss my boy so much,

I know you miss him hun, we never ever get over loosing them. You have to try and remember the good times, but it's often the good times that make us cry isn't it because then we wish them back.

((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))

My thoughts are with you too.
Losing your family member and loyal friend is heartbreaking.

However long they live, it`s never long enough.
But I think our lives are richer for having known them

(((( hugs )))) hun. The beautiful thing is if you had never of had Alfie, you would never of known the sheer pleasure of knowing him, loving him and just having him as a friend.
Priceless things.
