Abandoned American Bulldog

Can you help?

American Bulldog bitch has been living on some waste land for several weeks, she was with some other dogs who were used for breeding purposes (puppies sold from here out back of car) the people moved off and she was left behind, if it wasn't for a lady feeding her she would have starved to death by now, she has a make-shift shelter to keep worst of rain/snow off her.

She is terrified of people and the closest the lady feeding her has manged to get is 20ft, she runs and hides, the area is not fenced and she could have run for miles but she has stayed in the area around the shelter, burries her food and bowl, may respond better to a man.

The lady helping her has tried the RSPCA several times but they said there is nothing they can do, her vet has offered to help with capturing her/sedation, don't want to this to a awful ordeal for her, then she will need somehwhere safe to go for assessment/treatment etc.

The area is County Durham, if you have experience with the breed or a dog in this type of situation, or could offer a comfortable and safe kennel space for assessment - please contact me.
