Stunning dogs and clearly enjoying the cold weather. How are they in the hot weather in the summer? ..... that is when/if we get any nice weather.

Hello stranger!! I am well, and LOVING the snow and the cold. Frozen ground = clean ground. Clean ground = clean house!! My boys adore the snow and the cold and are as pigs in clover at the moment!!

They cope well. Obviously it goes without saying that they prefer the snow, but they cope very well with the heat - better than some short coated dogs I have had such as labradors. We take them for long bike rides along the canals in the summer, and they spend their time diving in and out of the water to keep cool. As long as they are in the shade, or have access to open water, they cope absolutely fine. We don't have to take any precautions, such as walking them early in the morning or late at night, just sensible decisions like walking them in woods or, as I say, along canals, rivers etc.
