I've gotten a bit fed up with his books tbh, it just seems to be the same story over and over. After the first series with young Pug and Thomas and the rest of the crew, it just seemed to lose a lot of steam.
i agree, i found the first a bit of a slog. I read it this year on my kindle after having bought the book when i was at uni, 10years ago! The characters were interesting enough but there's only so many battles i can be bothered with.

Likewise the Wheel of time books, read 5, then needed a break!

OH god, was there anything duller than the Wheel of Time !, didn't the author die before he finished them ? or perhaps he got as bored as the rest of us

All his Pug series are crap, but his Daughter of the Empire series he did with Janny Wurts is bloody brilliant, definitely worth a read

Lol,I didn't like the Empire books at all, much preferred the Pug books, the early ones anyway.

I'd go for one but I pick my books up for 50p each at boot sales----and that means no contest unless I am travellinbg.

Mum loves hers but managed to order a book the other day when she thought it was a sample! Still she isn't doing bad for an 86 year old who is appallingly bad technically!
