How to feed heart?

We have been given a very fresh lamb's heart as a treat for the dogs by a friend of ours who butchers his own meat.
As a life-long vegetarian, I have no idea what to do with it :smt102 Does it have to be cooked, and if so, what's the best way to do it?

my 2 are raw fed anyway, and they have either a piece of ox heart or half a lamb's heart every day.
so just give them half each!!! Lamb heart is quite fatty so not suitable to feed every day, ox heart is better, I get my butcher to chop it into eight and they have a piece each. Lamb heart they have every few days.

I tried both raw and cooked heart and liver. My dog wouldn't touch the raw- maybe the texture ?But she loved the cooked. Maybe try it both ways.

I've just recently started giving mine heart,I freeze it then defrost and cut it into slices for them and pop it in their bowls,daisy loves it,alfies not quite so keen !

As said just slice it up raw and give it to them - heart is my lots favorite - don't give too much as it can be quite rich but bet they love it! and chomp it up!

My girls won't touch it raw.....although they do eat raw....but if you cook it they love it.

funny how some won't touch it raw - now raw liver no way but raw heart they go mad for!

I have labs, what do they care how the food comes so longs as it comes!!! lol
On the serious side, I put a cut up heart in the blender with some veg, eggs (+shell) and some bio yoghurt.
A lovely meal.
