Llamas?!?!?!?!

I saw this today!

They are being sold under the 'household' category and it says they make wonderful family pets!

This was on a UK website, but do you think it's actually in America? Can you actually keep llamas as pets here?!

I couldn't believe my eyes! LOL

Not sure about as pets, but on Countryfile or a similar programme, I saw these people who got them to keep with their sheep as they are good at guarding them and scaring the foxes off. Think it was maybe in Wales or Scotland cant really remember now!

But can you imagine people keeping them in their back gardens!

There's someone living a few kilometers from me (I pass their place everyday in the train) and they have 2 or 3 lamas walking around in a fenced area.

I dont know how tame they are... But they are there

I saw a Llama in a garden a few months ago. It was out in the country near Blairgowrie. I had to look twice as it was so unusual.

yes they can be kept as pets and make excellent guarders of property too

we have a llama farm not far from us and was very tempted a while back to buy a couple to roam our huge garden

My neighbour has seven Alpaca's; ok I know they're not Llama's, but they're very similar though shorter ( about three feet at the shoulder ) Apparently they make for good companions and are easily trained. Nice colours too.
