First dog...Skip (Skippy) - Please forgive me I was 8!

Second dog...Jasper..after the gem stone...it is the lucky stone and also red (he is a red and white BC).

3rd dog...Tassle....not quite sure why...the name came about 4 months before the dog

4th Trip...she was called Trixe when I got her and that was a big NO! so I changed it for my sanity...

5th Gabriel ...named by previous owner,,,not changed.

6th Siren (blue and white BC)....again appeared before the dog.....not sure why I liked it...but she is very pretty!..

7th....Index....not appeared yet but I really like the name

Fred is called Fred because that's the name he came with. As he was a foster I didn't mess with it, but had I known he'd still be here two years later I'd have changed it!

Beauty is Beauty because compared to all the yorkies I grew up with she is enormous! I loved 'Black Beauty' when I was a kid, and she's a black Greyhound, so 'Beauty' it is. Her racing name was Lizzy the Lark.

Previous (with parents)-

Zoe and Sofie - rescue dogs already named.
Kizzy - a black lab, named after the little black girl in the movie "Roots".

Current (parents) -

Poppy - beagle, just liked the named
Jackson - beagle, named after his dad (Crufts best of breed winner, I believe)

Current (ours) -

Woody - I just thought of it one day and we decided it fitted him quite well when we chose him. I was trying to think of names my husband would like other than Lewis, as didn't want people to think we'd name him after Lewis Hamilton!

Gracie - because she is my grace. I have been unable to have children and when got her when I really needed someone I could just cover with love. Her registered name is Miss Congeniality because it is one of the few movies my husband and I both equally enjoy.
Bridget - was named by her breeder. Our last name is Jones and she thought it would be cute to name our dog Bridget so that we would have a little Bridget Jones. We seem to accidentally have a movie theme going.

Zorch- My other halfs choice!! its the name of a character in a song (attack of the Zorchmen) by his favourite band 'The Meteors'. everybody always says "he's called what? Torch?"

Diablo- My choice. Its spanish for Devil. I thought this would be appropriate and it certainly is at the moment!!!

Hi new here, my new dog is Siberian Husky/malumute/gsd
her original name was 'Eska' but have changed it to 'Mishka'
keeping the 'A' sound. Has Russian connotations as well.

You do realise that when you have a dog you will never have to ask for directions again? unlike a lot of men!

Cassie was an Irish name i liked and Cassie was brought over from Ireland by the dogs trust. Her name was Mara but she didn't respond to it.

Elena came from on of my fav books, Bitten by Kelly Armstrong. She was the only female werewolf and was quite a feisty character!
