what breeds do your dogs like best.

after looking at another thread about dogs knowing there own breed,

it made me wonder, do your dogs prefer to play with some breeds,

when the rotties were younger we had a few young boxers at the club, so my lot loved boxers,

as they got older they are happy to mix with any dog, but they dont really do the whole play thing now like they did when they were pups.

Marius particularly likes smaller breeds, he loves getting on the ground with them. Although his best buddies include a Golden Retriever, A Labrador, A Newfie and our neighbours Patterdales

He does get particularly excited mind when he sees other Rotts.

Dan loves all other dogs. Rio particularly loves breeds that she sees a lot at work, especially Westies, Shih Tzus and Cavaliers! I think she just gets excited because she recognises them.

Jess dotes on small dogs!

She is amusing when she comes across a dog bigger than her as she isn't used to it, so becomes afraid lol. She is such a big wuss bless her. A Great Dane pounced at her once to try and play and she yelped and ran off lol (it didn't even touch her)

Hard one for us this.

Ours are not that interested in other dogs, they will walk with them, but have an attitude of ''take them or leave them''

Reah is probably the one that gets the most ''mates'' and greets other dogs quite willingly.

But they do seem to get on with thier own breed better and appear to really enjoy the company of other BC's.

Well my dogs are my dogs lol, they go best with other sighthound type dogs, and bully breeds, apart from Boxers, but they had good socailistation with them types from a young age, the rest of the breeds of dogs they can take or leave with no problems.

Hoki doesn't really like any other dogs - she's not aggressive, just not interested....except for two goldies who she is in love with. I can tell when they have walked our route a bit in front of us - she trots along making 'mmm mmm' noises. Its the only time I've ever seen her try and play - she play bowed to them a few times, but they just ignored her, so now she just worships from a distance!

Stumpy likes other collies and she's quite fascanitated with jack russells - I think she would play with them if given the chance.

Tip, well he's so dopey I'm not sure he recognises different breeds - he seems to great them all the same irrespective of size.

Boomer always liked other BC's.
Bertie likes little dogs, especially Jack Russels.
Teagan only likes dogs she knows.
Skye likes all dogs, but she particularly seems to like Labradors (her breeder also had them) and Beardies (my friend has a couple).

Missy adored the Akita in her training class.
She was quite taken with Claire's setters today, after she had her little bark at them! I was quite taken with the setters too
