Pet passports....

Quick question

I'm pretty certain I read on DW that you could get your pup microchipped at the same time as the second vaccination...is this correct?

My vet reception said that they do microchips when a pet is neutered/castrated....now obviously this is many many months away...I was quite surprised.

We had hoped to have taken Fern with us to Denmark early next year but it's not looking likely.

When did you get yours microchipped?

Thanks xi

With the vaccination Ingrid - no problem, she didn't appear to notice.
Sounds like wimpy vets to me!

I could have gotten teagan chipped when she had her first injections, but she was too heavy to hold and fill the forms in at the same time, so I took the forms home, and filled them in, and took them back when we went for her 2nd injection, and she had it then!

Don't understand why they would make you wait to be chipped! It's important!

I reckon March AM It's mine and my mor inlaws birthday

Luckily we've got my inlaws coming in 2 weeks time - it's going to be great Seriously it'll be great fun, we haven't seen them in ages and the kids will get to play with Fern which will be nice for them.

And if we are lucky we might be able to get them to drag a few danish supplies over to us

I was quite surprised at the response - she had to go and ask someone - knowing my luck she might have asked someone who didn't really know - who knows....or it could be the fact we are using a different vet...maybe they don't know how to do it....

I really have to stop speculating now

Hmm I will sneakily book him in for it in a few weeks time - I'm sure they'll forgotten about the conversation then.

Thanks guys!

We asked for Cassie to be done with second vaccination but as she was being spayed at 6 months, vet advised we wait as it's easier to do when they are already sedated. That may be why they advised to wait.
