Nice to see you Harvey.

Eileen - I hope the day goes really well for your nephew on Saturday. Where are you having the meal?

15 June. It's also Father's Day and a week before her birthday, so we can combine them all.

Karen - so sorry to hear about your TIA. The treatment you had sounds excellent and I am sure that will make a huge difference to your recovery, which I hope will be a full and speedy one. (((hugs))) xx

Afternoon all ,

I can tell you now that I haven't been out all this time walking the dog since I last posted . We had a nice walk but did all get very wet. I kept changing my mind (I'm a ditherer ) and having decided to make a dash over to see Mum changed my mind and did a huge food shop and then had coffee with a neighbour.

It hasn't stopped raining although sometimes its much heavier than other ... a really dull and grey day .

Helena told me to phone Dave mid to late afternoon which I will do if we haven't heard from here before.

In case anyone want to get bored rigid my OH is due to be on the radio this afternoon. Some programme on Radio 4 called 'Open Country' at 3. He's talking about Brooklands Museum or something.

UPDATE Helena has just phoned me and she's home. It sounds as though she has had the most traumatic time. She did have it done under local anaesthetic
which involved 10 injections (five on top and five in her palm and underside of her finger) which she said was the worse thing. With further x-rays they found that her knuckle had also split which isn't good news. From what I could gather she's had one of those metal frames put on where the screws go right through her bone from one side to the other and then a cage on top of it and then a plaster cast. She was in theatre for 2 hours and has to see the consultant again on Monday. She won't be on the forum at all today as I think she's off to have a sleep now and take it easy. They were ready to discharge her but no body could get hold of Dave. They eventually found him sitting in his car in the car park waiting for a phone call. For some reason although his mobile was turned on it wasn't receiving any calls She has said though that Dave has been an absolute star and couldn't have been without him.

She did say that on her return there were some beautiful pink roses in a box waiting for her with a lovely message but no name ..... whoever sent them to her could you please put your hand up

I'll post this now and finish my original post shortly.

To finish my earlier post ..............

Elaine how lovely of your s-i-l to help you out of a sticky situation or should I say a 'crumby' one I couldn't live without a vacuum cleaner what with dogs etc.
Kazz OMG you poor thing. What a dreadful time you've been having and what a worry. It does sound as though you've had fantastic treatment by specialists and hopefully you'll make a really speedy recovery and those missing words will return I hope you have some help there and you are not all alone.
LS Sorry to hear about poor little Michael ... it really isn't fair is it. Kids can be so unkind Well done for giving those kids a filthy look .... I bet you'd gladly have walloped them.
Lynn I hope you've had a lovely girlie lunch but suspect you didn't get to have the car roof down.
Bev Enjoy bingo tonight and lets hope you have another lucky strike
Tang That photo of little Bella poking her nose out is so sweet .... NO she doesn't resemble a mouse
Hi to Moyra, Gordon, Nippy, Norma and June
Lacey I bet those graves look fantastic ... well done. Enjoy your meal.
Losos Lovely to see you back but you won't be back now until Autumn!!! Good luck.
Lynne I too will be by myself this weekend ... shame we aren't nearer to each other . I have no idea what I'll be doing as you are right in saying that the forecast is dire

It's still raining here and goodness knows how much more we'll be getting in the next 3 days ..... where has our spring gone

See you all later.

Afternoon Harvey and Debbie.

Poor Helena that sounds very traumatic for her. Hopefully that's the worst over with now.

Had a lovely time out with Beth and we will do it again. She has her own business and is very busy so has taken my number is going to consult her calendar and let me know when.
Dillon has just laid on me then sat up and put his rather large heavy head against my face and knocked my glasses skewiff. I am surprised he didn't break them.
