Pippin Shih Tzu male

Meet Pippin :smt049

He’s is a six-year-old, male Shih Tzu, who is looking for a new home because his owners decided they no longer wanted him. Sadly came to rescue suffering with painful ulcerated eyes, despite trying everything possible to save his eyes the ulcerations had been there for so long they didn't respond to various intensive treatments and both of his eyes eventually had to be removed. This hasn't phased Pippin in the slightest, he amazes everyone he meets at how well he copes, with his hearing and sense of smell heightened to compensate, you wouldn't know he was blind until you met him up close.

Pippin is toilet-trained, can be left alone without problems and is extremely well behaved. He is very good with other dogs and would happily live with cats. He enjoys his daily off lead walks in the park, being happy to just potter along beside you. A sensible and affectionate boy who loves his is tummy rubs and sitting on laps for a cuddle. He loves his comforts and his sleep and his new owners will need to indulge his love of sofas, armchairs and human beds.

Pippin is looking for a new guardian with plenty of love and affection to offer him. He would happily live with someone worked part-time, we would prefer not to home him with young children or a very busy household.

Pippin is looking for a perfect new home, a home where he will be loved and cherished for the rest of his life.

Bless his little heart.

My step-mum and Dad had lots of shih tzu's one of which was blind.
They now have various dogs and are retired in Dorset.
Do you think he could cope with other dogs well, as in living with them rather than just meeting them?

How sad the poor little thing.
How can you decide you dont want a dog after being with it for 6 years, some people.

Breaks your heart doesn't it

I just can't understand how they could have allowed him to suffer, and for so long
