Passport

Does anyone know how to replace a lost dog passport, I live in Tenerife and have lost my dogs passport and I am going back to UK shortly

Been having a look online,here is what I found;
Contact British Foreign and Commonwealth office( FCO)Embassy or High Commission.You need to report the loss by completing a lost declaration form LS01 available from the FCO website.
Once you have completed the relevant paperwork the FCO will record the loss of the passport and you'll be issued a new one.
Really hope that's the correct info and turns out to be that simple

Hi there. I lost my dog's passport a couple of years ago (and went into a panic!)

However I was assured that the actual passport itself is just a document issued by your vet and can easily be replaced. It is, of course, the information contained in it on all the different sections, that is important. Because I'd used the same vet all the time, he was able to check her records and get the replacement one up to date.

He even contacted the laboratory that does the blood checks for the rabies jab, giving them the dates she had the vacc, to get the batch numbers for the vaccine to put in the passport.

I panicked because I was thinking of it as a very 'official' thing like a people passport is.
