advise

well me n dean split day before xmas eve, we had a rented house together and neather one of us can afford 2 keep it, its been emptied and i want to sell everything to pay off our debts. but he doesnt want to threatening to take me to court if i dont give him the TV. The thing is we owe money to electric, 2 months notice on the rent, tv cxl fee on the telewest and a few other things. Any advise i mean if we own the things together and we have the debts together then what im suggesting is the correct way isnt it?
any ideas?
Thanks

What a plank. Pay the debts off.
He doesnt have a leg to stand on if all the debts are in both your names.

Wouldnt worry doll. He cant take u to court. Do what u can to pay debts off. Either ask for his share or say you'll sell stuff to pay his way.

if he coughs up the money, give him the tv, if not sell it,

dont get into a situation of haggling with him, tell him cough up or shut up...

sorry to hear your having a rough time of it xx

I have no legal knowledge... but I would try to find out from someone in law whether he has a leg to stand on over this (you really don't want to be lumbered with paying him back for the TV if he takes you to court). If they say he would be ordered to pay you for it or sell it off, then just sell it - then if he wants to take you to court he'll have the court fees to pay too!

Sounds like a right tool - hope you get it sorted

hope you soon get over this person and move forward with the rest of your life.
