had a flyer come through the door

about a vet who comes to your home, 26-00 to 50 odd quid a time.
they take your animal away if it needs treatment or xrays. i thought it was a good idea, but pricey though.
glad they take the animal away for ops, didnt fancy them doing an op on my work top LOL

i agree be a bit messy to say the least
seriously though if some is house bound and maybe on a low income ie pensioner its a bit expensive just for call out then they would have whatever treatment needed to pay for also

Is this instead of you going to them or an alternative, interesting idea.
With regards to the op on the counter tops, had this happen many moons ago. In early 1960's called the vet out to my bitch with what turned out to be pymethra, he said she won't make it to the surgery, which was about 8 miles away, & operated on our kichen table. A siccessful operation & the bich who was 11 at the time lived another 4 & a half years.

When I was at the vets we had a van. We did do home visits but often the owners couldnt afford them so we (nurses or care staff) would go and collect them and drop them home again. Saved the vet going out and meant the costs stayed really low for owners.
Good idea the home care tho. Seems really reasonable to me.
