It will eat folk given the chance.

It's shot coz it's trying to have some poor bloke for its dinner. Not the lions fault but once that situation developed it should be done. It should have been done much quicker though.

I'd have shot the bloke and sent for a vet, to make sure the lion didn't have food poisoning!

(That way, the human race would have been improved, by having one more idiot removed from the gene pool)

Yes, it's lion so it shouldn't have been stuffed into a cage and expected to be trained, conform and have to perform for the public in the first place.
